What does my child’s daily routine look like?

  • The children are generally grouped by age: Kindergarten is 4 to 5yrs; then 2 to 3yrs; and 0 to 2yrs.
  • Your child meets the others in the group, their teachers, and enjoys meals together.
  • Their special belongings are housed in one of the specially-designed playrooms.
  • The group ages are a guide only and dependant on individual readiness.
  • Like families, children mix with all ages throughout the day.
  • But time is also reserved for same-age opportunities.

Babies

  • Babies are cared for in the nursery that also has it’s own private play area.
  • Toddlers can move from indoors to outdoors safely.

Staff Working with Children Checks.

In addition to our internal staff assessment processes, we rigorously carry out reference checks on:

  • all staff employed to comply with Working with Children legislation and guidelines
  • candidates applying for staff positions: to gain an understanding of the competence, reliability and attitude.

To comply with legislation, a Working with Children check is also done on:

  • all full, part-time and casual employees
  • ongoing visitors who will be working with the children.

Curriculum Standards.

Our teaching and curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (Curriculum).

The approved learning frameworks are linked to the National Quality Standard, and outline practices that support and promote children's learning from birth right through to 12 years old, and their transition to school.
